Longest distance ever today - managed 119 miles on a simply stunning
day.
We left Chester at 7am and cycled from dawn into North Wales. No hills
and no wind all morning. A perfect start.
We stopped for lunch after 62 miles in Bishops Castle and then blasted
the second half with the warm April sun in our faces all the way the
Ross-on-Wye. The last 7 miles were tough, practically the only hills
if the day and a 1-in-6 giant of a hill to do after 112 miles. Still,
we got up it and rolled into Ross for 6pm.
One of the best days riding ever.

ReplyDeleteYou may not know but Chris Watson has been inspired by you to cycle from Lands End to Salisbury. I received an email from him on Sunday night but that was the last we've heard. Keep your eyes peeled for him by the side of the road as I could do with some new bike lights.
Cheers
